There was a crossroads. Software development on one side. Detailing on the other. Thomas chose the one that made him lose track of time and started doing it out of his mum's garage. That was the beginning.
Three locations later, Thomas Mayer Automotive Detailing is now on a main road in a fully insured commercial premise in eastern side of Adelaide, Magill. Every dollar earned has gone back into the business. No loans. No handouts. No investors. Just the work, reinvested.
We are a small business. We feel the ups and the downs. We rely on every single customer to enjoy their experience because it's the smiles that keep the doors open and the ongoing friendships curated. That hasn't changed from the garage to the workshop.
"When I was a studying, my own car was written off, friends and family lent me their cars to get around in. For payment, I would detail every square inch of the vehicle. My best friend told me to pursue detailing further as he could see how much joy it brought me."
